BrewDog announces job cuts
Beer giant Brewdog has announced plans to make job cuts across the business.
According to the BBC, staff were notified in a company email from BrewDog chief executive James Taylor.
The number of positions set to be affected has not been disclosed by the company, and the move was made to “right-size” the business.
In a statement reported by the BBC, Taylor said: “We’ve taken time to review our structure and ensure we’re focusing our energy and investment in the right areas.
“These changes have affected a number of roles across several departments.”

He added: “We don’t take these decisions lightly, but we are confident that the steps we’re taking now will help us operate more simply, stay focused, and drive the business forward.”
The news comes after BrewDog’s co-founder Martin Dickie stepped down last month.
Dickie said in a statement reported by the BBC at the time: “After over two decades in the brewing and distilling arena, sadly, for personal reasons, it’s time for me to leave the industry that I love deeply and hopefully had a positive impact on.
“Leaving BrewDog isn’t easy, but I’m ready to spend less time travelling and spend some more time at home with my young family.”
BrewDog has been contacted for a comment.
