Morrisons names former Nisa executive as Operations Director
Morrisons has appointed Peter Batt as the new operations director for its convenience business, Morrisons Daily, according to a LinkedIn announcement.
Batt previously served as MD of Nisa Retail, overseeing 4,000 locations.
Morrisons commented on a LinkedIn post: “We’re delighted to welcome Peter Batt to Morrisons as our new operations director for our company-owned Convenience business.”
He brings over 30 years of experience in the retail food industry, having served in executive roles and at the board level and within large-scale retail operations.

Batt also worked at the Co-op Group as divisional managing director for ten years, where he managed 1,200 stores.
Additionally, he held executive roles across operations, commercial and convenience at Sainsbury’s for 20 years.
The news comes as the retailer posted its 11th consecutive period of growth, with a 3% rise in like-for-like sales in its third quarter despite “significant cost headwinds”.
Last month, the retailer named former Aldi executive Andy Gillies as the new logistics director.
