Aldi teams up with children’s dietitian to support parents through weaning
Aldi has partnered with children’s dietitian Lucy Upton to help guide parents through the challenges of weaning.
The discounter’s new initiative will see it offer expert-backed tips and affordable recipes to ease the pressure on families.
The collaboration comes as new research from Aldi reveals that 26% of parents lack confidence when it comes to weaning, while 32% admit to comparing themselves to others on the same journey.
The supermarket chain said it is aiming to make weaning simpler, less stressful and more cost-effective, though Lucy Upton sharing easy, low-cost recipes and advice to help parents, using Aldi’s Mamia baby range and everyday ingredients.

“Weaning is an exciting milestone, but for many, it can also feel overwhelming – especially with the pressure of getting it ‘right’. That’s why we’re committed to supporting parents every step of the way,” said Aldi chief commercial officer.
“From launching our Mamia New Parent Fund to now partnering with Lucy to offer expert-backed, affordable recipes, we’re making it simpler for families to feed their little ones with confidence – without compromising on great value and quality.”
Upton added: “Feeding your baby nutritious meals doesn’t have to be time-consuming or expensive. By teaming up with Aldi, we can show parents that with a handful of simple, low-cost ingredients, parents can create a variety of healthy, balanced dishes that help little ones explore new flavours, textures and experiences at their own pace.”
The move follows Aldi’s recent launch of its Mamia New Parent Fund, reinforcing the retailer’s commitment to supporting families from day one.
