Among parents, 46% said they worry their teens could leave home without basic cooking skills, with many still preparing all meals for their children.

The new initiative will see recipes graded by difficulty level, so customers can choose based on their confidence and curiosity.

“As a company, we’re always looking at how we can improve the customer experience and what more we can bring to the table for them,” HelloFresh UK and Ireland CEO Philip Doran.

“Whether our customers are kitchen novices or cooking pros, with our new Skills recipes, we want to provide a variety of techniques and lessons to help enhance their skills further and make mealtimes and cooking fun.”

The move comes mere months after the meat kit giant expanded its recipe options with the launch of more premium ingredients to its core menu , including more fruit or vegetables into every meal, in a bid to improve variety in family diets.
