Swiss premium chocolatier Läderach is opening two new stores in London as it ramps up its UK presence.

A new branch in Canary Wharf and a dedicated counter at the front of Selfridges’ Confectionery Hall will take Läderach’s store count up to eight in the first quarter of 2025. The expansion follows the launch of the brand’s 200th store worldwide at the end of last year.

Other locations in the capital include sites on High Street Kensington, in Covent Garden and on the King’s Road in Chelsea, as well as its flagship store on Regent Street, an outpost in Westfield London and a concession in Harrods’ Chocolate Hall.

The new Canary Wharf store in Canada Place includes the brand’s signature FrischSchoggi counter, featuring chocolate slabs that can be snapped by hand and sold by weight, alongside single-origin tablet bars, chocolate popcorn, and seasonal collections.

The new counter at Selfridges replaces a Melt counter, and offers a more selective FrischSchoggi counter experience including FrischSchoggi Dubai – the brand’s limited-edition take on the viral Dubai Chocolate trend – as well as a range of best-selling all year round and seasonal ranges.

Läderach will also be expanding the availability of its FrischSchoggi Dubai to all stores and online following its successful debut in December 2024, with weekly deliveries. This creation features a combination of roasted pistachios and kataifi filo dough in premium Swiss milk chocolate.

Läderach UK general manager Stephan Stegen said: “We’re incredibly excited about our two new openings this spring. The ongoing regeneration at Canary Wharf has made it a vibrant hub of innovation and community that aligns perfectly with Läderach’s values of craftsmanship and quality.

“Equally, opening in Selfridges—an iconic destination for luxury and excellence—is an incredible opportunity to showcase our fresh, artisanal Swiss chocolate to a discerning and diverse audience, and both are in-line with our ambition this time last year to double our UK footprint by the end of 2025.

“Demand for our fresh, artisan Swiss chocolate continues to grow, and we’re thrilled to be able to meet it for Londoners across the city as well as nationwide, thanks to our online store which continues to thrive.”
