Lindt is tapping into the viral ‘Dubai chocolate’ TikTok trend with its own take on the pistachio bar.

The Dubai chocolate trend originated from Fix Dessert Chocolatier founder Sarah Hamouda’s blend of traditional Middle Eastern flavours with modern sweets, The Mirror reported.

Lindt’s version, which combines pistachio nuts and milk chocolate topped with a Kadayif pastry, quickly followed suit having launched in New York.

While the Swiss chocolatier’s bar has now made its way to the UK, it will only be available from four stores in Bicester Village, Leeds Trinity, McArthur Glen in Cheshire Oaks and Bluewater in Dartford with a premium price tag of £10 for a 145g bar.

It’s not the only food product to have gone viral on social media in 2024.

Earlier this year, content creator Logan (@logagm) showcased his cucumber salad recipe which amassed tens of millions of views and made such a large impact online that supermarkets in Iceland ran out of cucumbers as producers were unable to keep up with the high demand.

Other retailers have seen their own products go viral on the app.

M&S is one of the supermarkets that gets a lot of TikTok attention, with products including its bueno iced lattes and Caesar dip to its £6.50 ‘Big Daddy’ chocolate bar – which TikTok users claimed was a take on the Dubai pistachio chocolate bar – all going viral on the platform.
