Aldi launches its biggest plant-based range for Veganuary

Aldi is launching its largest-ever plant-based range for Veganuary 2025, with a wide selection of new Plant Menu items. 

The discounter’s collection, available in stores from 30 December, offers a variety of new options including Kimchi Koftas and deep-fried pickled gherkin chips in tempura batter, known as Tempura Frickles, as well as returning products such as  No Smoked Salmon, which went viral in January 2024. 

Aldi’s Plant Menu Vegan Cheese Continental Selection is also back, featuring a variety of flavours including Not’zarella Grated, Italian Style Grated, Greek Style Block and Baking Bert.

For 2025, the supermarket is introducing new Plant Menu Meal Kits in Keema No Beef with vegan mince marinated in coriander, cumin and turmeric with garlic and coriander naan bread, alongside BBQ No Pork Pulled and Hoisin No Duck varieties.

Other new vegan options in the range will include Gut Health No Chicken Smash Burgers in Tex Mex and BBQ flavours, No Chicken & Black Pepper Sausages, and Salt & Pepper No Chicken Kebabs.

It comes as plant-based food company This is launching two “hyper-realistic” alternative chicken products for Veganuary.

The brand’s new chilled ‘Isn’t Chicken Kyiv’, which is made from soya and fava protein and stuffed with wild garlic plant-based butter, will hit shelves on 1 January in Sainsbury’s at £4.95.

Meanwhile, This’ frozen ‘Isn’t Chicken Wings ‘ will roll out on 6 January in Asda and 13 January in Morrisons stores at £3.75.

    The same vegan sections that are overflowing because NOBODY wants this, keep it to yourselves. Even the staff comment about how pointless it is. But keep pushing WEF, whilst you and your fellow crony billionaires eat Kobe beef…
