Majestic Wine is set to open more stores including a new wine emporium in Plymouth, taking a space within retailer The Range’s head office.

The Plymouth store opening marks the sixth new store Majestic has opened in the financial year and supports the wine retailer’s overall store expansion targets.

Elsewhere, Majestic Wine has also launched a new 3,450 sq ft in Solihull, following the recent opening of two new locations at East Dulwich and Brentwood in Essex.

Majestic Wine CEO John Colley said: “Plymouth is a city we’ve been targeting for some time as part of our expansion plans, so we are delighted to finally be opening our newest store here. Everyone at Majestic is looking forward to welcoming hundreds of new customers from the local community and sharing our award-winning wines and expert knowledge with them.”

The retailer revealed earlier this year that its organic  wine sales have almost doubled in the past year, beating its full-year guidance.
