Recipe box operator Gousto has appointed eBay veteran Murray Lambell as its new chief customer officer as the business looks to capture more of the mainstream dinner market.
Lambell previously led eBay’s UK business between 2020 to 2023 and most recently ran a multi-billion dollar category as vice president of the global business selling team at the online giant.
In his new position, Lambell will oversee the insights, brand, sustainability, acquisition and retention, food, buying, and customer care teams.

It comes as the recipe box firm returned to profitability in 2023, reporting an underlying EBITDA of £26m.

Gousto’s current CCO Sally Matthews will move to the role of chief strategy officer, advising on long-term growth opportunities, while chief technology officer Shaun Pearce’s role will expand to chief product and technology officer, where he will lead digital product and proposition development in addition to the technology and data functions.
