Aldi and Lidl offer school uniforms for £5 in back-to-school deals

Aldi and Lidl are offering full school uniforms for £5 in new deals that look to help parents save on back-to-school essentials.

Aldi is freezing the price of its Specialbuy uniforms for the third year in a row, which will see a sweatshirt priced at £1.50, while two polo shirts, a girl’s pleated skirt, boys’ trousers, and boys’ cargo shorts are available at £1.75 each.

The promotion, which went live on 4 July, will be available via the store’s ‘Middle Aisle’ until stocks last.

Aldi’s school Specialbuys also include leather school shoes for £6.99, tights for £3.99, a five-pack of socks for £2.49, jersey pinafores for £7.49 and jogging bottoms for £6.99.

The supermarket has also introduced a new 12-month satisfaction guarantee for its school uniform, to give parents peace of mind.

Other accessories and stationery include Lily and Dan backpacks at £11.99 and matching lunch bags for £5.99, as well as workbooks for 99p each.

Rival discounter Lidl is also offering a £5 uniform set, which includes two polo shirts, a sweatshirt, and either trousers, shorts or a skirt for children aged four to 12, the Mirror reported.

Alongside this, the grocer is offering clothing such as two pinafores for £6.99, a pack of two polo shirts for £1.75, and stationery such as two notebooks for £2.99 and a gel pen set for £3.99.
