Former Co-op boss Euan Sutherland has been appointed Irn-Bru maker A.G. Barr’s new CEO.
Sutherland will join the soft drink giant from 1 May, taking over from Roger White who announced he would step down from the role last August after 21 years at the helm.
A retail veteran, Sutherland spent over a year at convenience retailer Co-op as chief executive from 2013 to 2014 and has held top positions at companies including Kingfisher, Superdry and Saga.

The appointment comes as A.G. Barr expects pre-tax profit for the 2024 financial year to be slightly ahead of market expectations at £49.5m, up 14% from 2023.
A.G. Barr chair Mark Allen said Sutherland had “substantial experience across several consumer-facing businesses and will be a strong addition”.
“He is well placed to lead AG Barr through the next exciting phase of its development and to ensure the continued long term success of the business,” Allen added.
