It comes as the grocer continues its programme to convert the convenience stores acquired from Co-op and EG Group to its Asda Express brand.
These 21 store openings come in addition to 17 sites which already opened this month in locations such as Southampton, Cardiff and Clapham.
The newly converted stores stock up to 3,000 branded and own-label products including essential items such as milk and bread, as well as on-the-go lunch snacks and dinner ingredients.
Asda vice president of convenience Andy Perry said: “After pausing our convenience rollout during the festive period, the programme is now in full swing once more.”
He explained that Asda will “accelerate the programme” over the next few months, with an aim of converting all 470 stores acquired from Co-op and EG Group before the end of Q1.
Perry added: “We are looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming customers in new locations right across the UK.”
