Amazon is launching upgrades for its grocery suppliers in an aim to make deliveries and deductions more transparent and dispute processes simpler and faster.
Designed with input from Amazon’s grocery suppliers, the new features include real-time data and automatic alerts for grocery suppliers when shipment variance occurs, allowing them to resolve disputes faster.
The new updates will also include a 30-day timeframe for disputes to be raised before payment deductions apply, with Amazon aiming to provide suppliers with better financial certainty and businesses with better visibility for their operations.

The upgraded new process will be managed using a single dashboard, eliminating previous the challenge of navigating multiple systems.
The new developments are the online retailer’s most serious upgrades to date and form a part of its ongoing commitment to improve the experience of grocery suppliers in line with the Groceries Supply Code of Practice – following the CMA labelling Amazon as a grocery retailer in 2022.
Amazon EU grocery director James Bate said “We’re committed to helping our grocery suppliers reach more customers in the UK, and this change is just one of many that we have put in place to improve their experience of working with us every day.”
“This update makes working with Amazon faster and easier, and gives suppliers greater financial certainty so they can focus on what matters for their business and for customers.”
