UK recipe box company Gousto is launching a ‘Hungry Traveller’ range to encourage customers to cook new dishes at home.
The new selection features recipes from locations including Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe such as Gambian style beef and sweet potato peanut stew with rice, Italian inspired saffron risotto milanese with king prawns, and Japanese inspired duck yaki udon.
The limited-edition menu is available to order until 29 January, with delivery from 6 January to 1 February.
This comes alongside a new ‘foodie phrase book’, which is available to download from The Hungry Traveller guide and features food-related phrases, cultural tips and recommended dishes.

The launch comes as research found that 55% of Brits are hesitant to order local cuisine when abroad because of language barriers, and while 83% have tried to recreate international dishes at home, more than one in five don’t have the right ingredients.
Gousto chef Sophie Nahmad said: “A new year means new adventures on the horizon. Our food team draws inspiration from all over the world, whether that’s time-honoured cooking techniques or little-known spices that help a dish sing.
“We want to bring a taste of global cuisine that customers won’t find in traditional cookbooks. There are mouthwatering meals for countries all over the world in our new Hungry Traveller range.”
