Asda launches new healthy eating range

Asda has launched a new Health Menu range to help shoppers navigate healthy eating this January.

Available in-store and online at Asda.co.uk from this month, the healthy eating range includes more than 45 new products starting at 75p across the retailer’s frozen, chilled, bakery, food-to-go, meat, fish and poultry categories.

The products, which were created by the supermarket giant’s in-house nutritionist and expert chef team, are each labelled with a specific health benefit, such as skin health, gut health or bone health to help shoppers understand why it is good for them.

The range features four one-pan scratch-cooking kits in Smoky Chicken and Chorizo Paella, Fruity Moroccan-Style Chicken Pilaf, Sticky Beef Teriyaki Noodles and Butternut Squash Linguine.

Other dinner items include Smoky Chicken, Chickpea, and Red Pepper Burgers, Chicken and Greens Chipolatas, a selection of soups and eight health bowls, alongside lunch on-the-go products such as a Smoky Beef Chilli Pot and a Spicy Chicken Arrabbiata Pot.

Asda’s new range also includes breakfast items such as ready-prepared frozen smoothie mixes and a Multiseed Berry and Nut Granola.

Asda nutrition and health strategy manager Sophie Rose said: “At Asda, we believe that healthy eating should be simple, convenient, and accessible to all. That’s why we’ve developed our new Health Menu range, full of nutritious meals that are quick and easy to prepare.

Healthy eating shouldn’t cost the earth, and with prices starting at just 75p, we hope to empower customers to make healthy choices whilst showing them that you don’t need to count calories or compromise on taste to live a healthy lifestyle.”
