Nisa to roll out Jisp ‘Scan & Save’ programme to all its retailers after successful trial

Nisa is set to accelerate the roll out of Jisp’s ‘Scan & Save’ loyalty programme to all Nisa retailers in the UK, as it looks to deliver competitive discounts on key products for their shoppers.

Following a successful trial – where over 200 Nisa retailers signed up to the scheme – an average of 3,500 voucher redemptions per store were recorded over a 12-month period, increasing in-store sales on average by more than 20%.

The loyalty platform utilises AR voucher technology to bring discounts on branded products, driving sales for retailers and helping leading brands boost visibility on shelves.

Data taken from Jisp’s top 10 performing stores show that on average, ‘Scan & Save’ boosts sales by £100,000 a year, while delivering over £30,000 of discounts to shoppers.

In addition, there has been a marked increase in footfall and repeat shopper visits at the convenience retailer, as the service continues to drive shopper loyalty.

Nisa retailers also receive weekly payments based on in-store redemptions, as well as 6p back on every Scan & Save product purchased, giving them further benefits.

Since the app was made available to Nisa retailers at the start of 2022, there have been over 1.3m AR voucher scans and over 1m redemptions made in Nisa stores alone with ‘Scan & Save’.

This has resulted in over £1.5m in added sales through the app and almost £750,000 in discounts to shoppers in those participating Nisa stores.

Last year, grocery delivery service Jisp achieved 150,000 scans across 61 Nisa stores at the time.

Commerical director at Nisa, Ayaz Alam said: “It’s been really positive to see how the trial has performed and to see our retailers benefitting from a compelling value and loyalty proposition.

“At a time when value has never been more important to shoppers, we’re delighted to be able to scale our relationship with Jisp and to work together to enhance our offer for suppliers and retailers.”

Managing Director of Jisp, Ilann Hepworth commented: “We’ve been working very closely with the team at Nisa for a while now and have built a robust support structure to ensure their retailer partners have everything they need to be successful in a competitive marketplace with Scan & Save.

“We’re excited by the prospect of continuing that partnership with a greater number of Nisa retailers and suppliers.”

The news comes as Nisa has launched a recruitment drive as it looks to open 400 stores by the end of this year.
