Aldi is planning to hire more than 1,700 workers by the end of the year amid rapid expansion drive.
According to The Times, the German discounter claims the recruitment drive includes full-time and part-time positions at its regional warehouses, with salaries of up to £53,000 a year.
Aldi has a target to expand to 1,200 stores in Britain by 2025, which requires it to open 60 new supermarkets a year on average. It also aims to open about one new store a week throughout the UK between now and Christmas.
Latest figures from Kantar found that Aldi was again the fastest-growing retailer in the UK, with its sales rising by 24% as people seek cheaper prices amid the cost-of-living-crisis.
The discounter now has a market share of 10.2%, a rise of 1.1 percentage points year-on-year.
