Asda has launched an updated food-to-go range which introduces 47 new products, including deli-style offering.
According to The Retail Bulletin, the supermarket chain’s latest range will include thick sub rolls, pasta dishes and wraps, as well as deli-style sandwiches, salads and 19 snacking lines.
Customers who choose to purchase any of the new food-to-go range as part of Asda’s meal deal will see prices starting from £2.20 for a sandwich, snack and drink.
The range includes the Pastrami and Emmental New York Style Deli and Chicken, Mozzarella and Slow-roasted Tomato deli sandwiches, as well as vegetarian options such as a Falafel & Houmous Wrap and Slow Roast Tomato & Feta pasta.
There is also a range of Asian-inspired options such as the Katsu Chicken Wrap and Vegetable Sushi Snack Pack.
The new deli-style offering aims to bring to life key trends that Jonathan Moore, Asda’s senior director of food trends and innovation, outlined for this year.

Senior manager of Asda Own Brand Joanna Johnson said: “The offering delivers on exactly what customers are looking for, when they want a lunchtime treat; sandwiches and wraps packed with premium fillings, flavours and ingredients that excite and inspire, plus a variety of snacks and sides to choose from.
“Across the extensive range, we have options that align with Asda’s Live Better criteria, to ensure customers have options to choose from that provide 1 of your 5 a day, or are high in protein, a source of fibre and low in saturated fats.”
The news comes as Asda could potentially face a £1.2bn bill in a landmark equal pay case after an email leaked to ITV News revealed that almost 55,000 shopfloor workers are not being paid fairly.
