Ocado is looking to showcase 20 products from small British suppliers in its latest initiative with Nigella Lawson.
Selected by Lawson, the items will now appear in her ‘Nigella Loves’ aisle on the online-grocer’s website.
As part of her ongoing partnership with Ocado, Lawson has also launched three new recipes, including a sardine spaghetti, jam and curd-filled cookies and a venison steak salad.
Each recipe highlights one of Lawson’s favourite independent suppliers from her aisle, such as sustainable tinned fish brand, Fish4Ever, family-run meat business, Hampshire Game and preserves producer, The Cherry Tree.

The initiative comes as new research shows that 85% of the nation want to support small suppliers and 67% would buy more if they could order small suppliers’ products easily online.
This summer, Ocado has also opened up a new online hub for prospective independent producers to learn how to get stocked on the grocer’s virtual shelves and apply online.
Ocado Retail CEO Hannah Gibson said: “Ocado has a proud history of supporting independent suppliers, providing a platform for businesses to connect with customers in search of choice and convenience.
“Thanks to our operating model, we’re not bound by shelf space, so there’s always room for brilliant new producers to come on board. They are a key part of what makes the Ocado range unique, so we are committed to championing them however and wherever we can.”
