Sainsbury’s has launched a second round of price cuts across its own-brand milk range.
From 1 July, the supermarkets whole, semi-skimmed and skimmed four-pint milk will drop in price to £1.45, down from £1.55.
Sainsbury’s two pint varieties will see a 5p reduction to £1.20.
A spokesperson said: “Helping customers is our number one focus and we’re doing everything in our power to keep prices low.
“We hope that these continued price cuts will help reassure customers that we are passing on savings as soon as we can, especially on the everyday essentials people buy the most.”

This follows an initial price drop in April, the first time that Sainsbury’s had slashed milk prices since May 2020.
Other grocer’s including Aldi, Lidl and Ocado were quick to follow, also reducing milk prices in April.
In the same month, Sainsbury’s ended a long-standing deal, which saw dairy company Arla supplying a percentage of its own-label milk.
The change will instead see Müller as the sole supplier of the supermarkets own-brand milk from February 2024.
