Deliveroo commits £20m to fund biggest ever summer savings campaign

Deliveroo has committed £20m to find its biggest ‘Summer Saver’ campaign to date in a bid to help shoppers save amid the cost-of-living crisis.

From mid-July, over four million of the rapid delivery firm’s customers will be able to unlock up to £22 off restaurants or grocer’s.

Brits spending over £25 on any order will unlock £5 off their next order, £7 off the second and a £10 off their third order.

Deliveroo has also recently launched a series of local offers across multiple UK regions where customers can save up to £100 off local chains and independent restaurants.

Shoppers will also have a chance to save £40 over their next four grocery orders.

This comes in addition to its existing price match campaign with grocery retailers such as Morrisons, Co-op and Asda which matches the price of over 550 items such as milk, bread, pasta, bananas, broccoli and toilet rolls.

“We want to do our bit for consumers hit by cost of living increases. Our summer of savings will make it easier for Deliveroo customers to enjoy their favourite takeaways, local restaurants and get real value on their weekly grocery shop,” Deliveroo founder and chief executive, Will Shu said.

“As we launch our largest ever savings campaign, we want to reach as many people as we can and make Brits’ money go further.”
