Recipe box retailer Green Chef has signed up Manchester United women’s captain and England Lioness Katie Zelem as its new brand ambassador.

Zelem said: “I am thrilled to be joining forces with Green Chef. As a professional athlete, I know how important it is to fuel your body with nourishing food.
“Between training and travelling, I often come home to an empty fridge. Green Chef allows me to order meals ahead of time and come home to all the ingredients I need to whip up a delicious meal, whilst sticking to my goals.
“Each of their recipes are nutritionist-approved, so it’s super easy to make sure I’m getting the right amount of protein, carbs and healthy fats for my training schedule – freeing up time for me to focus on what happens on the pitch.”
Head chef and registered nutritionist for Green Chef Anna Tebbs commented: “We’re delighted to be working with Katie Zelem during this very exciting time of her career and for women’s football.
“Our mission is to help people eat healthily and conveniently, and we believe Katie’s dedication to her sport and healthy lifestyle will be an inspiration to those looking for ways to meet their wellness goals this summer, and beyond.”
Green Chef is not the only brand to embrace women’s sport. Lager brand Carling teamed up with the Emirates FA Cup and the Vitality Women’s FA Cup as the official beer partner in January.
