Soreen launches new lemon-flavoured mini loaves for Easter

Soreen has launched new lemon-flavoured mini loaves for the Easter holidays, giving consumers a healthier alternative to the usual chocolate egg.

These Spring mini loaves from the malt loaf brand also come with a new look, complete with chicks and bunnies, wrapped in Soreen’s iconic brightly coloured packaging.

The loaves taste just like the classic lemon drizzle cake but with a “Soreen twist”, and come in a portable format.

At under 100 calories per bar, and 60% less sugar than the average cake bar, the brand is making it possible to enjoy a sweet treat HFSS (high fat, salt and sugar) contents.

The vegan-friendly, individually wrapped loaves are also ideal for children as they act as a source of fibre.

The loaves come in multipacks of five and are all individually wrapped, providing an easy and convenient snack. Consumers can find them in the cake aisle in supermarkets and convenience stores and have an RRP of £1.25.

The last product Soreen launched was its Cherry Jellies Mini Loaves, back in October for Halloween.

“In the lead up to Easter, which is traditionally a time of indulgence, we tend to find that parents are interested in tasty yet healthier choices for their children,” marketing director at Soreen, Liz Jacobs said.

“We’ve created two delicious Easter Mini Loaves – our NEW Lemon Mini Loaves and back by popular demand, our Raspberry & White Chocolate Mini Loaves.

“Our Spring limited-edition Mini Loaves offer families a tasty treat with less sugar and fat than the average Easter cake bar, to create the perfect on-the-go snack for kids with no crumbs.”

Jacobs added: “We’re delighted to launch this new range in time for the Easter period. Our limited-edition seasonal flavours continue to grow in popularity every year, with last year’s Spring Mini Loaves being our most popular yet.

“Easter is the biggest event in the bakery calendar and we’re certain that shoppers will love our latest edition to the Spring range this year.

“The new Mini Loaves are HFSS compliant and maintain the unique combination of deliciously squidgy taste and texture, as well as holding great nutritional values, meaning it’s a win win for parents and children.
