Lidl has revealed the quietest times to shop in its stores this bank holiday weekend as it prepares for a surge in customers.
After welcoming almost one million new shoppers to its stores over the Easter period last year, the German discounter is anticipating more shoppers than ever.
Over the Easter period last year, data found that the quietest times to shop were between 8am and 10am, and from 6pm onwards.
The update comes as Lidl GB became the UK’s fastest growing supermarket last month, with sales rising by 25.8%.

Meanwhile, it discovered that Saturday was the busiest day for shopping, with stores seeing the highest levels of footfall between 10am-1pm, before starting to quieten down in the afternoon.
The supermarket has also confirmed that stores across England and Wales will be open as normal until 10pm on Good Friday and Saturday. Stores will be closed on Easter Sunday, opening again between 8am-8pm on the bank holiday Monday.
According to Lidl, confectionary sales up are 11% on last year, as customers have already been stocking up on the discounter’s Easter treats.
Demand is only set to continue as customers grab last minute bargains before the bank holiday, including the discounter’s Deluxe Marble Egg (£6.99) and the Deluxe Apple and Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns (£1.39), alongside others in its Easter range.
