McCain has launched a series of digital and audio conversation cards designed to spark conversation starting points for families during mealtimes.
Voiced by Girls Aloud star, Kimberley Walsh and created in partnership with UK child psychologist Dr. Laverne Antrobus, the cards look to work for all families, regardless of age or ability.
The ‘Teatime to Talk’ iniaitiave comes as almost a third of families state the cost-of-living crisis has hindered their family time and a quarter claim communication within households hasn’t been the same since it started.

The research commisioned by the frozen potato manufacturer also found that a typical family spends less than an hour a day together, eating as a household on four days out of seven.
“It’s clear from the research that many families across the UK are struggling to make the most of time together, so we’re delighted to be launching ‘Teatime to Talk’ today, to help families have more quality time with each other over dinner,” McCain Foods UK and Ireland, vice president of marketing, Mark Hodge said.
“Our cards are relevant for all ages and abilities, and we hope they help families to enjoy those simple moments that matter such as teatime.”
Antrobus added: “With everything going on in the world, it’s no surprsise families can struggle to find time to talk with one another.
“The questions that have been crafted for the Teatime to Talk cards encouraged everyon’es voice, drawing on each person’s probelm solving skills and creative thinking.
“Working in partnership with McCain to create these cards to keep families talking has been a truly heartwarming journey.”
