As Iceland has partnered with Just Eat to offer rapid delivery of its products, just 14% of its shoppers have used the service since its launch, new research shows.
On 20 March, the service rolled out from more than 200 Iceland stores and by the end of April, there will be over 5,000 of Iceland’s products listed on the rapid delivery service’s app, including both fresh and frozen produce.
According to recent data from YouGov, for general food and grocery purchaes 76% of Iceland’s customers tend to make most of these offline.

The research also found that 70% of the retailers customers are more likely than the general British population to shop for food and groceries offline.
However, 80% of shoppers did agree that delivery services make their lives easier.
The Iceland and Just Eat tie up initially launched in locations including London, Manchester, Belfast and Leeds, with plans to roll out to more cities across 2023.
This collaboration will also see shoppers able to order items from for delivery in as little as under 30 minutes.
At the time of the launch, Iceland international and wholesale direcror, Justin Addison said: “At Iceland our customers are our priority, and we consistently hear that they want more convenient access to our products – both on high streets across the UK and from the comfort of their homes.”
