Its laundry products include a non-bio laundry liquid, fabric conditioner, 3-in-1 non-bio laundy capsules and an ironing water, ranging from £2 to £6.50.

According to M&S, these offerings have been developed with quick wash cycles and low temperature washes in mind and as a result, users can wash up to 60% less energy but still get high performance cleaning.

Seven products across the new homecare range have also been made without fragrance and enzymes, and endorsed by Allergy UK for consumers with sensetive skin.

The products include multi surface cleaner, washing up liquid, non-bio laundry liquid, fabric condidioner, 3-in-1 non-bio laundry capsules and laundry powder, ranging between £1.50 and £6.50.

Focusing on the fragrances of its new range, blended in top perfume houses, this comes following a recent M&S Customer Collective Survey of 3,333 customers which found the smell of a product to be the most impotant factor for 64% of respondents.

The range features over 19 fragrances, including citrus, lavender and floral which came as top picks among the customers who took part in the survey.

“We’re known for offering great quality food and we’ve put the same level of care into developing our biggest ever – and all own-brand – homecare range,” M&S lead product developer, Samantha Walker said.

“From blending bespoke fragrances and essential oils to increasing the number of cleaning and laundry choices for those with sensitive skin and allergies.

“We want to give families more reasons to shop at M&S more often and providing great value, fantastic quality products is the priority. We can’t wait to see customers’ reactions to the new range.”
