Nestlé confectionary brand Rowntree’s has launched a new range of non-high in fat, salt or sugar (non-HFSS) sharing gummy sweets.

While some of the sweets will be rolling out in major supermarkets from the beginning of February at RRP £1.35, Rowntree’s Jelly Snakes will be launching exclusively in leading retailer Tesco from March.

“Like all of Rowntree’s products, the new Rowntree’s range has no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives,” Rowntree’s brand manager, Hannah Boyle said.

“We’ve gone one step further with the new range, offering shoppers a yummy, more permissible treat with 30% less sugar that is also non-HFSS compliant.

“The playful range is made for sharing and we’re excited to share it with consumers across the UK who I’m sure will love the new shapes which are bursting with fruity flavour.”

This comes as Nestlé has appointed Richard Watson as its new CEO for UK and Ireland, as former chief executive Stefano Agostini moves to a new role after six years in the top position.
