Co-op has launched its Christmas themed sandwich range as it looks to raise £50,000 from sales to help tackle inequality across UK communities.
The funds, which will go to the Co-op Foundation, will help to support issues such as health and wellbeing, sustainability, and inclusion and equity.
Available nationwide via Co-op stores and online, the limited-edition selection includes flavours such as Turkey Feast, Boxing Day Feast, Brie & Cranberry and Pigs Under Blankets.
The convenience retailer is also rolling out a vegan-friendly sandwich option, GRO Turk’y Feast containing flame-grilled cooked flavoured soya protein with vegan mayonnaise and a selection of plant-based festive staples.

Priced between £3 to £3.25, for shoppers with a Co-op membership card, 2p for every £1 spent on its branded products including the new food-to-go range will go onto their account to spend in store.
“Our much-loved Christmas sandwiches range are now even tastier with some new and improved recipes for our customers to try. Plus, our entire festive range is included in our meal deal offer to provide that added extra value for our customers and members,” Co-op food-to-go developer, Becky Price said.
Co-op Foundation CEO, Nick Crofts added: “Co-op Foundation is the Co-op’s charity and we’re co-operating for a fairer world.
“Support from sales of Christmas sandwiches will help us fund organisations and young people to build fair and co-operative communities of the future together. We’re proud to be part of the Co-op and to work with members to deliver on Co-op’s vision.”
This comes as the Co-op has abandoned its multi-million TV commercial this Christmas to raise awareness of affordable community food projects helping to tackle household finances as the cost-of-living crisis continues to intensify.
