One Stop invests in new home delivery tech to double online range

One Stop is to double its home delivery range to over 2,000 SKUs, due to the implementation of new software which better links in-store availability to what appears online.

The new system, Deliverect, is due to be completed in December, before being rolled out to its first store, the Grocer has reported.

The new software will operate across all three of the symbol group retailers’ delivery partners, which include Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats, which currently only carry around 1,000 SKUs.

According to One Stop, the move will boost the speed at which stock is updated on the home delivery platform. It also added that the software will allow picking to be more accurate and allow reductions to be made in fulfilment times.

“Deliverect will provide stores with a simplified process allowing them to manage multiple delivery partner services within their store,” One Stop head of online Tim Josephs said.

“It allows us to manage more tasks centrally, helping to save time for our store colleagues and franchises. This means order picking will become more efficient, menu availability can be managed more effectively, and we can generate menus all in one place.

“Another added benefit is that we’re able to gain greater insights from each specific store, allowing us to continually improve our offer and the performance of each store in their online offering.”

The move comes as One Stop finishes the installation of self-checkout installations across 58 company-owned stores, with a further 80 stores being planned for early next year.
