Aldi extends opening hours for Christmas period

Aldi has revealed when its stores will be open over the festive period.

In the run-up to Christmas, the discount grocer is extending its opening hours from 7am to 10pm Monday 19th December, allowing customers to pick up their last minute essentials.

Stores will also be open until 6pm on Christmas Eve, however Aldi has warned customers to check their local store details online to avoid any disappointment.

Aldi will once again close its stores as usual on Christmas Day, and will keep all stores shut on Boxing Day as a thank you to colleagues.

The grocer, which recently replaced Morrisons as the UK’s fourth biggest supermarket, revealed the majority of its stores will also be open from 8am until 8pm in between Christmas and New Year, and until 6pm on New Year’s Eve.

Stores will also be open until 8pm on Bank Holiday Monday (2 January) 2023.

Aldi added pre-order click-and-collect slots for Christmas will be revealed soon.

This comes as Kevin the Carrot makes his much-anticipated TV return today, Thursday, November 10 as Aldi launches its full Christmas advert for 2022.

But will he get to celebrate Christmas Day with his family or will he be unable to fight off an unknown home intruder?
