Sainsbury’s has unveiled the new look of its store in Stoke-On-Trent which has undergone a six-month refurbishment to improve customer experience and increase energy efficiency.
The updated store looks to showcase its fresh food market and produce hall, moving these sections to the front of the site.
New additions include a hot food counter, new signage and fixtures, improved checkouts, as well as a beauty and cosmetics department and extended Tu clothing section.
The Big 4 grocer has also expanded its partnership with Starbucks by featuring one of its cafés in the store, adding to the 40 which are already implemented in Sainsbury’s supermarkets across the UK.
“We’re constantly investing in our store estate to help ensure we provide the best offer we can to the communities we serve, supporting our commitment to helping everyone eat better,” Sainsbury’s property director, Patrick Dunne said.
“I hope our customers in Stoke enjoy their new look store and once again I’d like to thank them for bearing with us while we completed this extensive project.”
This comes as Sainsbury’s has begun the rollout of its “dining destination” concept, in partnership with food giant Boparan Restaurant Group.
Following a successful trial of its Restaurant Hub concept at its Selly Oak Store last year, a nationwide rollout has started with a second opening at Sainsbury’s Sydenham store, South East London.
