Silent Pool launches 95% recyclable cardboard vodka bottle
Spirit Pool brand, Green Man Spirits has launched a 94% recyclable carboard bottle to package its newly launched Wildwood Vodka.
Created in collaboration with sustainable packaging company, Frugalpac, the packaging uses 77% less plastic and has a carbon footprint 83% lower than a glass bottle.
In looking to further boost its sustainability values, every purchase of the vodka is set to contribute to the brand’s partnership with non-profit organisation, Tree-Nation as each customer can choose a tree and its planting location which Silent Pool will plant on their behalf.
The 70ml product, which will be available from this month via Silent Pool Distilleries and Amazon follows on from the brand’s recent launch of its Green Man Wildwood Gin which is also packaged in a recyclable carboard bottle.
“Genuinely sustainable practice is important to everyone here at Green Man Spirits, and Silent Pool at large. By working with Frugalpac, we’ve been able to create a fresh yet pioneering packaging that elevates our quality liquids into the mass market, but for the greater good,” Silent Pool Distillers marketing director, Rhian Billington said.
“We’re wholly aware that this is just a small step in the right direction, however, it is one we feel we need to make to pave the way for others and position ourselves at the forefront of change within the spirits category”.
