Tesco has added a new independent non-executive director to its board, bringing “valuable knowledge and perspective” to the existing members.
The latest addition to the supermarket board, Caroline Silver will be starting her role on 1 October 2022, when she will also be appointed as a member of Tesco’s audit committee.
Currently, Silver is also chair of healthcare company PZ Cussons and a non-executive director of insurance company BUPA, as well as The Interncontinental Exchange, a member of the international advisory board of Adobe, an advisory member of Moelis & Company and a member of the V&A foundation.
Prior to her upcoming appointment with the Big 4 grocer, Silver was a partner and managing director at global investment bank, Moelis & Company.
“I’m delighted Caroline will be joining the board as a non-executive director,” said Tesco chairman, John Allan.
“Her wealth of experience across a number of commercial, financial and governance roles, together with her investment banking and international experience, will undoubtedly bring additional valuable knowledge and perspective to the board.”
