Naked Wines names Pratham Ravi as non-exec director

Naked Wines has appointed Pratham Ravi as a non-executive director, with immediate effect.

Ravi currently works as an analyst at Punch Card Capital, and as a result, due to his relationship with the company, he will be a non-independent director.

Alongside his appointment, Ravi has agreed to not trade in Naked Wines shares during any period when company insiders are also restricted.

Prior to his position at Punch Card Capital, a role which he has held since 2018, he was an analyst for Lanyon Asset Management Pty Limited and Sandon Capital.

“I would like to welcome Pratham to the Naked board as we continue to chart a course for responsible, sustainable growth,” Naked Wines chairman Darryl Rawlings said.

“I was delighted that he accepted my request to join the team following insightful discussions between us since I joined the group. His unique experience will bring additional strategic breadth to the company built on a shared belief in our differentiated offering for winemakers and for consumers.

The appointment comes as Naked Wines reported a strong growth in its full year results, attributing its success to repeat customers and a growing subscription service.

In the year ending 28 March, the wine retailer saw EBIT of £2 million, compared with a £1.5 million loss last year.
