Demand for eco-friendly products peaked pre-pandemic in January 2020 and hasn’t returned to the same level since — though seasonal events like Veganuary do drive peaks in interest.
The research said almost half (47%) of Britons say they make a conscious effort to shop sustainably, with a further third (35%) admitting they “sometimes” shop for sustainable items.

Some 90% of survey respondents say they would recycle clothes with brand if this service was offered.
Gnatta also found that vegan chocolate is the UK’s most popular eco-friendly product. With 27,000 average monthly searches, plant-based chocolate beat the likes of vegan cake, vegan cheese, and vegan pancakes.
