Aldi to create 1,000 logistic roles for distribution centres

Aldi has announced it is creating around 1,000 logistic roles across the UK in the next 12 months.

The discount grocer, which has a portfolio of over 960 stores and employs around 38,000 people, is looking to expand its distribution, transport and maintenance teams at its 11 Regional Distribution Centres nationwide.

This includes both full-time and part-time positions, with salaries of up to £19.80 per hour.

“As we continue to grow and make Aldi accessible to even more shoppers, we need more amazing colleagues at our distribution sites across the country to make that possible,” Aldi UK recruitment director Kelly Stokes said.

“As well as market-leading pay and benefits, being an Aldi colleague means a great working environment and real opportunities to progress within the business. We look forward to welcoming even more great people to our distribution centres to become a part of our success.”

The recruitment push forms part of the grocer’s expansion drive nationwide, with 2,000 permanent roles to be created across the UK this year.
