Aldi ranked best employer for parents

Aldi has been ranked the best employer for parents, according to job comparison site Breakroom.

The research revealed 44% of parents enjoy their job at the discount grocer, with 48% agreeing it is good for caring responsibilities.

Parents have also rated the employer 6.6 out of 10.

Big 4 grocer Sainsbury’s has been ranked number five in the research with 50% of parents believing their job is good for caring responsibilities.

Rival Tesco followed Sainsbury’s with 50% of parents thinking the job is good for caring responsibilities, with 42.6% saying they enjoyed the job.

According to the research, symbol group the Co-op was at the bottom of the list, just below Marks and Spencer, reporting a 43% and 35% ranking of caring responsibilities.

This comes as Co-op recently announced it has enhanced its menopause policy after research reveals than almost two fifths of women who have gone through menopause have experienced anxiety at work.

The retailer announced it would launch a menopause support guide for all 4,500 managers across its food stores and other businesses to supplement its 2019 menopause policy.

Tesco also announced a similar measure for menopause support.
