KP snacks has marked all wholesale boxes of healthier products with a ‘non-HFSS’ label ahead of the new restrictions.
The high fat salt and sugar policy is set to hit supermarkets in October 2022, prohibiting volume price promotions and certain store placements of unhealthier products.
As a result, KP’s new ‘non-HFSS’ is set to help retailers distinguish where to place the products in line with new regulations – meaning they can be placed at aisle bays and near tills.

The new products cases will be launched across KP Snack’s non-HFSS brands, including Popchips and KP nuts.
The new cases are expected to be rolled out ahead of the introduction of restrictions in October.
Additionally, KP has published a HFSS retailer guide including tips for optimising fixtures to prevent lost sales as they adapt to the new policy.
“As an industry leader, we have ensured we are prepared for the upcoming changes, and we are working hard to make sure our retail partners feel similarly ready to continue driving category growth once the legislation is introduced,” KP Snacks trading director Matt Collins said.
