Aldi stocks humanitarian IPA for Ukraine

Aldi has now stocked a fundraising beer “Stand With IPA”, brewed by The Harbour Brewing Co, where all profits raised in sales are donated to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

Specifically, the funds donated through the discount retailer will go to the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC), who are currently working with 15 leading aid charities and focused on supporting families fleeing the war.

Donations will be funnelled through to its member charities and local partners responding in Ukraine, and in neighbouring countries.

The Stand With IPA comes from a Cornish brewer and has been described as well-balanced with hints of tropical fruits and a sweet papaya aroma.

The IPA is available in Aldi stores from 7 April, retailing at £1.49 each.

The move follows Ukraine’s ‘most-loved’ beer brand, Chernigivske announcing it will be introduced to retailers, bars and restaurants throughout the UK with all profits going towards aid for Ukraine.

Aldi has also engaged in other charitable efforts recently including its donation of up to 250,000 meals for Easter which went to food banks to support struggling families and children.
