“With some welcome spring sun bracing the UK this weekend, it looks like Brits are getting ready to bask in the warmer temperatures!” Ocado Retail chief customer officer Laura Harricks said.

“With the widest range of products across any supermarket, we’re always on hand with all the Springtime essentials, from sunscreen to BBQ necessities – and everything in between.”

The news comes as Ocado’s latest trading statement revealed a 5.7% year-on-year drop in revenue for the quarter, which was partly reflected the 4% fall in UK grocery market sales.

The retailer cited easing lockdown restrictions, increasing supply chain costs and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine as contributing factors.
