Tesco unveils first-ever vegan Easter range

Tesco will exclusively launch the Wicked Kitchen’s first-ever vegan Easter range, which will include dairy-free chocolate eggs and vegan cupcakes.

The Big 4 grocer is also set to expand its Free From range with a Strawberry Crunch Egg, Cluckie the Choc Chick, and Free From Gingerbread Easter kit.

The non-dairy egg range will include two flavours: Fruity Chocolate and Poppin Candy Orange, bpth retailing at £5.00 each.

The vegan chocolate rabbit, named Benny the Bunny will also be priced £5 and will be made from a plant-based milk chocolate. The bunny will also have its own cupcake range called Bunny Bum cupcakes priced at £3 for four.

The gluten-free Free From range will include a Strawberry Crunch Choc Egg and a Honeycomb Crunch Choc Egg, both for £4 each.

In January, the supermarket revealed sales for vegan products doubled along due to the popularity of Veganuary and the debut of the Wicked Kitchen Meal Deal.

The news comes as Tesco has recieved criticism for “contributing to period poverty” after quietly doubling the proice of its own-brand period products.
