How do you wear yours? Cadbury’s Creme Egg fashion collection sells out in hours

A Cadbury’s Creme Egg-inspired fashion collection which launched this morning sold out in just a few hours, with a knitted balaclava taking centre stage in the unconventional one-off collaboration.

Created by sustainable designer Charlotte Kirkham of Rua Carlota, the limited edition collection was launched to help promote Cadbury’s current How Do You Not Eat Yours competition, in which someone must ‘resist the urge’ to eat an egg, in order to win up to £10,000.

Each item was designed to prevent the wearer from eating a Cadbury Creme Egg. In addition to the balaclava (which had no mouth), the three-piece range also included a pair of non-grip gloves and a jumper with oversized sleeves in the traditional yellow, purple and red colour scheme of the Creme Egg.

“It was amazing to be approached for a collaboration with the iconic Cadbury Creme Egg brand,” said Kirkham.

“Such a unique design brief made producing the limited-edition collection both a challenging and rewarding experience. Each of the pieces intertwines the Rua Carlota DNA with a Creme Egg sense of fun, and should definitely make eating a Creme Egg a lot more challenging.”

“It’s been fantastic to see how flipping our iconic ‘How Do you Eat Yours?’ tagline on its head has led to the creation of such a unique range,” said Cadbury Creme Egg brand manager, Lyndsey Homer.
