Tesco has added its popular £3 lunchtime meal deal to its exclusive Clubcard Prices scheme, with the cost rising to £3.50 for those not signed up to the supermarket’s loyalty programme.
The Tesco meal deal has been priced at £3 for the past ten years, cheaper than both Sainsbury’s and the Co-op (£3.50). With some meal + snack + drink combinations – and there are 10 million to choose from – adding up to more than £6, it is a lunchtime staple across the UK, with more than 4 million customers enjoying the deal each week.
The new price will be coming into force from Monday 28 February.
Customers making the most of the lunchtime deal will also be able to benefit from an extra boost as regular Costa hot drinks have been added to the deal at more than 2,000 Tesco stores. Available for the next 12 weeks, the drinks range in price from £1.75 – £2.85 when bought independently of the meal deal.

“Adding our ever-popular lunchtime meal deal to Clubcard Prices is the latest way we’re rewarding our 20 million Clubcard members with exclusive deals on thousands of products,” said Tesco’s chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini.
“There are hundreds of products included in the lunchtime meal deal which means more than 10 million delicious combinations available across more than 2,700 of our stores – all for £3 – offering unrivalled choice and availability for our customers.”
The meal deal is joining more than 3,000 products which offer exclusive savings of up to 50% for Clubcard members.
