Dr Oetker UK appoints John Brassington as new joint MD

Dr Oetker UK has named John Brassington as its new joint managing director.

In his new position, Brassington will be responsible for sales, marketing, category, insights and net revenue management.

He will also be in charge of inclusion and diversity, quality assurance and HR, alongside, acting as a “coach” for the company’s Irish arm.

Brassington replaces Georg Heerdegen Parsbo, who has stepped down from the position and became a member of the international board.

Johannes Rosenthal will continue to serve alongside Brassington’s as joint MD and will take up responsibility for the businesses Lancashire base, alongside is current responsibilities of IT, supply chain, admin, finance and purchasing.

Matt Pringle, former head of sales in channel development, has also been promoted to the leadership team as its new executive head of UK sales.

“I am thrilled to welcome John to join me in the leadership team as he brings tremendous experience and all the relevant skills to continue on our growth path and realise many new opportunities for Dr. Oetker in the UK,” Rosenthal said.

“Thanks to strong direction over the past four years from both Georg and Johannes, we’re in an incredibly exciting position to capitalise on opportunities within the categories we operate.  I’m looking forward to taking on the challenges of driving future growth.”
