Pringles is celebrating its 30-year UK anniversary with a fresh new branding makeover.

The Mr. P mascot, most famous for its distinctive moustache, has been overhauled with an “emoji-style” appearance which includes new eyebrows and a red bow tie, in celebration of its anniversary.

The company has also altered the design of its snack’s containers, with brighter and bolder colours displaying its selection of flavours.

The new cans featuring Mr. P’s makeover will be available across the UK from late September.

The mascot has been on Pringle’s containers for 54 years following its design by Arch Drummond in 1967.

It has seen a series of six redesigns over its tenure, with its last design launched 20 years ago.

“After being Pringles’ loyal mascot for many years, Mr. P has had a well-deserved makeover in what is his boldest look yet,” Pringles UK representative Florence Kayll said.

“Mr. P’s hair may now be gone but he’s looking more youthful than ever with striking new eyebrows and is of course still sporting his famous, stylish moustache as he celebrates his 30th birthday in the UK.

“While Mr. P and the can design have both undergone a transformation, Brits can be confident that there are no changes to the flavour and crunch found inside every Pringles can.”
