Waitrose has named Lizzie Conlon as its new innovation manager.
The appointment follows the retailer’s commitment to boost product quality and innovation.
In her new role, Conlon role will build and develop the retailer’s innovation strategy, working alongside Waitrose executive chef, Martyn Lee.
Prior to joining Waitrose, she has worked for a number of agencies, including product Tastehead and Thefoodpeople.

Conlon has also worked at Tesco Food Academy, Good Sense Research and Tamar Foods.
“I’m excited to join the team at Waitrose which focuses on quality and cutting edge innovation and brings my own experience and knowledge to the table,” Conlon said.
“Waitrose is known for its creative approach to food and strong sourcing credentials and I’m delighted to join such a passionate team.”
Last month, Waitrose also appointed Louise Dolan as its new trading director for ambient and frozen products.
Dolan is set to join the grocer on November 29 and will be reporting to commercial director Charlotte Di Cello.
