Iceland launches internet-exclusive flash sale

Iceland has announced a series of internet-only discounts of up to 50 per cent, which it will promote via social media.

The offers include Iceland’s chicken breast joint at £3 instead of £6 and fish fillet strips at £2 instead of £3.

A similar flash sale on 26 February included Goodfella’s Takeaway Pizza at £1.75 instead of £3.50.

The news comes as Iceland launched a recruitment drive in January for 1000 drivers and 2500 store staff.

The retailer has already employed 3000 additional drivers and store staff during the pandemic, reportedly allowing it to complete around 45,000 deliveries a day.

Iceland further boosted its delivery fleet with 250 new vans leading up to the Christmas period.
