Tesco has promoted the chief executive of its F&F clothing label to managing director of home and clothing.
Jan Marchant, who has led F&F clothing since July 2020, joined the leading supermarket’s clothing arm as buying director in 2007.
She was then appointed as design director in 2014, before becoming creative and digital director for Tesco’s F&F brand in 2017.
Earlier this month, Tesco said the number of customers purchasing its F&F clothing products has increased by 8% year on year up to 27 August.
The Big Four supermarket chain said this was driven by shoppers looking for more affordable clothing options during the cost-of-living crisis.
The news comes as Tesco was accredited by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) for launching a variety of industry leading sustainability initiatives, as part of the retail trade association’s Climate Action Roadmap Showcase.
Additionally, the retailer is set to push up the price of its meal deal as of next week, marking the second time that Tesco has increased the cost of its lunchtime offering this year.
