Asda marketing boss leaves role after two years
Asda’s VP of marketing, Adam Zavalis, is departing from the retailer after two years.
Zavalis joined the Asda leadership team as its vice president of marketing in November 2023, after working at Aldi UK from November 2020 to May 2023 in various positions.
During his time at Asda, he oversaw the supermarket’s advertising campaigns and led the marketing team and agency partners to improve customer reach.
An Asda spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Adam Zavalis, vice-president of marketing, has decided to leave the business.

“We would like to place on record our thanks to Adam for his contribution during the last two years and wish him all the best for the future.”
The news comes after the supermarket chain made new appointments last month as part of its plan to strengthen its customer leadership team.
In October, Asda appointed Chris Chalmers as vice president of customer data and loyalty, marking his return after previously serving as digital marketing director from 2012 to 2017.
The supermarket retail also named Charlotte Rhodes as vice president of own brand in September.
